ICE, Office
/ OsloFor the ICE office in Oslo we had the challenge to create a wavy brass mesh as wall clothing on about 13 meters for their entrance.
The metal mesh is mounted along the long wall in ceiling and floor railing that was specially made in a different radius both up and down. As the different radii does not synchronize it creates the wavy feeling that the architects wanted. Because the metal mesh weighs more than 6 kg per square we created it in parts that was later put together. It is important to choose lighting as the metal mesh gets an extra glow when illuminated. In this unique project we chose luminaries with special effects that makes the light follow the people who walks along the brass wall.
Products used
Metal mesh D.914 is made of spirals eith welded ends. Flexibel in one direction. As the wire is relatively thin and light, the mesh is recommended for interior design. Metal mesh D.912 is suitable for metal curtains with or without locking, panels, wall cladding, ceilings, products, etc.
For outdoor use in stainless steel 316.
