In the middle of Hagastaden’s life science cluster is Life City, a new office building with flexible premises for tenants’ needs, as a center with meeting places designed to create the best conditions for innovative collaborations.
We have had the pleasure of collaborating with ON Arkitekter to the project. They wanted the projects walls, both indoors and in the open light courtyard, clad with metal mesh, CAN.101 in stainless steel, a mesh that easily reflects the surroundings’ fantastic light input. When the metal mesh on the walls meets the light, moaré effects are created, which gives an exciting and lively expression.
Materials used
Metal mesh CAN.101 is made of small diameter metal wires to create a thin, transparent mesh. As it is very thin and very easy to bend, it is possible to sew in. It is extra grateful to illuminate and different shades of the metal mesh material appear depending on wich direction the metal mesh is illuminated from.
The metal mesh is suitable as wall cladding, screens, between glass, metal curtains, for absorbents, ceilings, products, etc.
Material standard: Stainless steel 316L. Also offered in combined materials: Mixed SS/Bronze, Mixed SS/Brass, Mixed SS/Copper, Mixed Stainless steel/Red enamelled and Mixed Aluminium/Red enamelled.
