Moyagi / Malmö

Metal mesh: CAN.101

Material: Red enamelled stainless steel

Architect: Torekull Interior Architecture and Design

In collaboration with Stil & Känsla and with Deco Design in Stockholm

For the newly opened karaoke restaurant Moyagi in central Malmö, we have produced a fantastic red metal mesh for the magnificent luminaires in the ceiling.

In collaboration with Stil & Känsla and with Deco Design in Stockholm, architect Torekull Interior Architecture and Design has created this interior and these cloud-like installations of the malleable metal mesh CAN.101 mounted on the ceiling. The metal mesh and its folds reflect the light nicely and glow a lovely red at night.

Materials used

CAN.101 RF-koppar hs
CAN.101

Metal mesh CAN.101 is made of small diameter metal wires to create a thin, transparent mesh. As it is very thin and very easy to bend, it is possible to sew in. It is extra grateful to illuminate and different shades of the metal mesh material appear depending on wich direction the metal mesh is illuminated from.
The metal mesh is suitable as wall cladding, screens, between glass, metal curtains, for absorbents, ceilings, products, etc.

Material standard: Stainless steel 316L. Also offered in combined materials: Mixed SS/Bronze, Mixed SS/Brass, Mixed SS/Copper, Mixed Stainless steel/Red enamelled and Mixed Aluminium/Red enamelled.
