The Technical Museum / Stockholm

Architect: Monica Förster Design Studio

Metal Mesh: Chainex 07

Material: Stainless Steel 316L

With an enveloping experience the Tekniska Museets new exhibition Human Curiousity raises questions and
fascinates. The exhibition shows some of the challenges that the technical progress gives us. For Hyper Human
we have created a couple of metal meshing in different sizes to an experience-installation. We have also created
a powerful steel frame that the metal mesh is mounted directly on with steel bars and the help of spirals.
To create further depth and soft transitions the metal mesh has been mounted individually.

RM.07

Metal mesh RM.07 (formerly Chainex 07) is a mesh composed of fully welded rings. Each ring is connected to four rings. The specific welding technique makes it very strong and resistant to deformation. The size of the metal mesh RM.07 rings makes it slightly more elastic than ring fabric SL with the smaller ring. The panels are produced in the standard size of 500 x 500 mm and can be easily joined together to form larger installations. Special dimensions are offered on request. The metal curtains are preferably ordered about 2-3 cm longer as they are often finished resting on the floor. The construction of the metal mesh means that it can fall somewhat unevenly in height.

The mesh can also be enameled in different colors such as silver, gunmetal, bronze, gold, light gold, black, white or plated in custom colors. The metal mesh is suitable for interior decoration such as room dividers, metal curtains, products, etc.
It is fire and UV resistant, stable against moisture and mold, and requires minimal maintenance.
